This tribal embroidered piece is called Bokani (Muffler).
The Term BOKANI means – Bo is Two and Kan is Ears. It is a traditional wrap worn by young groom to protect his tender face and valuable earring from dessert winds. Bokani for groom’s shoulder. Beautiful sash with perfect embroidery and mirror inlays, worn by a groom on the wedding day.
Made in two parts each pieced of two cloths joined at centre with ‘Khilan’; Lined, piping; Hand stitched, embroidered: back, interlaced, chain, herringbone stitches.
